PREAMBLE

The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) is established under the Kenya National Qualifications Framework Act No. 22 of 2014. Section 5 (1) and Section 8 (1) of the KNQF Act no.22 of 2014 mandates the Authority to co-ordinate and supervise the development of policies on national qualifications, develop a system for assessment of national qualifications and provide for the recognition of attainment or competencies including skills, knowledge, attitudes and values, promote the recognition of national qualifications internationally.

The Authority has organized a virtual sensitization workshop on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in Kenya on 24th June, 2020 starting at 10:00 am as per the attached program.

The purpose of this letter is to invite you to participate in the workshop. Please use the link provided below to register for the meeting by 21st June 2020 and to join and participate in the workshop on 24th June 2020.

RPL in Cabo Verde and Morocco

Cabo Verde has developed specific legislation and methodology, built capacities and is now developing instruments to start a pilot initiative. This work is led by the NQF entity.
Morocco has implemented several RPL initiatives with a sectoral dimension, and close articulation with employers of these interested sectors: construction, hotels and tourism, meat production, leather processing.
